Protection against unconventional explosive devices - characterisation and quantitative risk analysis

The goal of the SUSQRA project is to develop a software system that can determine the expected damage sustained from unconventional explosive devices. The software shall be able to work with different classes of explosive devices with arbitrary geometries. In addition, an analysis tool will be implemented which effectively supports the forensic evaluation after an event.

The sociological subproject determines the specific configuration requirements resulting from police practice and urban security management. In tabletop exercises it will be explored how such capacities for prediction and analysis can be transferred to operational and planning concepts of police practice and urban security management.
