From 1999 to 2005 Master of Arts (Sociology, Political Science and Philosophy) at Friedrich Schiller University Jena. 2003 to 2004 Etudes Européennes at University of Paris III - Sorbonne Nouvelle. 2007 to 2010 doctoral student at FSU Jena (funded by a full grant). 2011 to 2013 research assistant in the BMBF project "MuViT - Sociological Perspectives on Pattern Recognition and Video Tracking" at University Potsdam. 2013 to 2015 research assistant in the EU FP7 project "VideoSense - Virtual Center of Excellence for Ethically-guided and Privacy-Respecting Video Analytics in Security" at the Center for Technology and Society at Technical University Berlin. 2016 to 2019 research associate in the BMBF project "Resibes" at the Center for Security and Society at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg. From 2019 to 2020 research assistant in the project “AI as 'virtual citizens‘ in a plural and dynamic society” (funded by the Volkswagen Foundation) at University Hagen. Principal investigator of the project “Artificial Intelligence and Civil Security” at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg (funded by the Fritz Thyssen Foundation).
