On 1st Arpril the BMBF funded research project DEFERM was launched. The aim of the DEFERM project is to analyse and improve processes and measures in the event of accidental or deliberate contamination with unknown biological hazardous substances. Since the threat posed by pathogenic microorganisms can have a cross-border character, cooperation is taking place between German and French authorities and scientists.
The project is coordinated by Prof. Dr. Stefan Kaufmann, who works together with David Stühler on the project.
The DEFERM project is funded by the German Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and cooperates with a number of German and French organisations and institutions.
